I started Darling Events in 2014 to build a company founded on beauty and personalization. My company is licensed and insured and I am the lead planner for all of our exceptional events.
I spent 15 years traveling the world world in the hospitality industry. I have been to some of the most beautiful and remote places on and off the globe.
In my travels I met my dutch husband Pino whom I married in 2014. After living on a private island in the Bahamas, I moved back to my home town of Fredericksburg to start my next adventure, Vivienne and Wyatt.
I now apply my experiences and my deep-rooted faith in the value of organization married with artistry. I dedicate my utmost to realizing your vision.

Trudy Slocum
Trudy is a certified planner with Darling Events. You will almost always get the pleasure of meeting her. She works closely with me in ensuring your day is perfect.
Trudy resides in Stafford with her high school sweetheart of 40 years. She has her two beautiful daughters. son and 6 grand babies. After planning her daughter's gorgeous Morais wedding, Trudy had found a new passion and we are fortunate it is here.

I am a wife to my dutch husband Pino. The two of us met while doing internships in the island of Aruba. We now share two wonderful babies. We have a 3 year old named Vivienne and a one year old named Wyatt. We also have a fur baby labordoodle. Being a mother is the most rewarding job i have been given. I wear my heart on my sleeve and smile on my face and laughter in my heart.

My extra time goes to my children and family including my ever so close mother. I married a chef. I am fortunate to have one of the best chefs cook at my dinner table. We often travel the globe to try the creations of other world renown chefs. Nothing soothes my soul and recharges my spirit like connecting with nature. I love my girlfriends and i have the honor of holding on to so many for long.

Virginia is my state. I love the four beautiful seasons the Commonwealth has to offer. Snow in the winter, watching everything come to life and bloom or hatch in the spring, the heat and storms and even the mosquitos in the summer, and the beautiful colors and crisp mornings of the fall. I grew up here and traveled the world and came back. There is no place like home.

I love to get to know our brides most of which we call friends now. We love to hear how they met what makes them happy how they got engaged and of course what her fairytale vision is and then we like to see that smile on her face when her special day come to life. It fills my heart to send them down the aisle as if they are my sister, best friend or daughter. We love them all like our own.
